Mahogany Whiskey Smoker Kit – Deluxe: Display Stand, Glass, 8 Wood Chips & Quad Torch (No Butane)

We purchased this smoked cocktail kit as a gift for a bourbon drinker, and it was a huge hit. From the presentation to the performance, the set feels well made and thoughtfully designed. The kit comes in a beautifully carved wooden box that keeps everything organized and protected. Inside are six different wood chip flavors, each in its own tin, along with a butane torch that includes a soft storage pouch. The wooden smoker lids are solid and fit securely over a variety of rocks and bourbon glasses, which was good since there were a few different glasses in the mix.Setup was straightforward, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. That said, it did take a few tries to really dial in the timing and level of smokiness.. We went from too light at first, to overly heavy, & found that a light to medium touch works best for our tastes. Once we figured out what we liked, the results were excellent and very repeatable. The torch and mesh screen worked as expected and produced plenty of smoke without feeling complicated. Cleanup was simple, and everything fit neatly back into the box after use. One thing to note is that butane is not included, which it says in the description but it's obviously a criticalPart of the process. The included recipe card is a nice bonus and offered some cocktail ideas beyond the usual smoked old fashioned, which helped inspire a few combinations we hadn’t tried before.Overall, this is a practical, attractive smoked cocktail kit that performs well and feels like quality. It’s a great gift for bourbon or whiskey lovers and a fun addition for anyone who enjoys entertaining or experimenting with cocktails.

This is a nice set, with all the extras needed to enjoy a smoked cocktail. The set comes in a giftable box, which makes it better than a loose kit for a special occasion. The chips produce a fair amount of smoke, so it makes for an impressive presentation

Looks good and I love the fact that it goes in the wooden box! If I want to take it with me to my friends house - it's nice and convenient and looks presentable. The only problem I have with it is that the top lid and the bottom lid are different tones, one lighter and another one slightly darker (see pictures) but it is minor issue, not a big deal for me, so I let it slide. The containers with wood chips are filled generously, that's a plus.

The set is the perfect gift for anyone who loves to have a smoked drink. My husband loves the different flavored ice chips, the butane was easy to fill in the lighter , the instructions were easy to read and the recipes are simple to follow and you probably have most of the ingredients at home.

This kit was a gift and is comprehensive and very easy to use. We are very happy with the results. We are ordering a second kit.

Great gift idea for any person that loves whiskey. We learned of this at a friends home and just had to buy our own. The experience of entertaining guest with this item was well worth the purchase. Experimenting with all the flavors is lots of fun. Makes a great addition to our bar. Recommend.

Cheers!

Very nice kit. Basically, "test driving" it for possible upcoming Christmas gifts. This is a seller. But you do have to procure your own butane for the torch (available often where tobacco products are sold).

The person I got this as a Christmas gift loved it. We are currently sipping on smoked old fashions and the oak chips are perfect for this. Nice variety of wood chips, the butane lighter is nice and sleek. 10/10 recommend this set!

Presentation and Gift-ability are a solid 10, the wooden box makes this a nice set for yourself or a friend, it also makes it easy to store and keep everything together. The torch is of higher quality than most of the torches that come as part of a kit, it has some heft to it and does a good job at lighting the wood chips. The Wood chips are stacked on top of each other and the lack of a cutout makes the task of getting the lower level chips out of the box a bit challenging but you can get them out.The metal shield for covering the smoker lid is nice, however the edges need to be smoother more, while not sharp, the finish needs to be better, it appears that the metal disk was just cut or stamped from a steel sheet and no care was taken in smoothing the edges to avoid any possible injury from a less than smooth edge. Comes with two screen and a cleaning brush.Overall the set works well and will get you a nice amount of smoke into your preferred beverage in a short amount of time. There are cheaper sets out there but they lack the presentation and quality of this set, if you are looking for a gift that you would be happy to give and get this is an excellent choice.

This G & J's Finest cocktail smoker kit has the best torch of all the cocktail smokers that I've used. It features a Quad Torch where most others have 3 torches and a few have 1. The torch itself feels comfortable in the hand and easy to hold and use. The scorch shield is unique to this set and keeps the wooden smoker from getting burnt or charred. The wood chip flavors in this kit are larger containers than most others and are Apple, Cherry, Cinnamon, Oak, Peach, & Pecan (with cinnamon being unique to this kit). The cleaning brush is metal wire which is also unique to this kit. All the items are packaged in a wooden box that is nice for gift giving. The instruction/recipe book is a great asset to this package.A few observations on the kit I received as the one I received appears that it may have been a return or not packaged correctly(?). The contents were not in their proper places as can be seen by pics 2 & 3. The scorch shield had marks that appear to be smoke stains one the one side and the other side is scratched. The torch itself has a lot of scratches above the handle. An additional comment about the wooden box is that the hinges and latch are of an inferior quality and are possibly the parts that will break first. This doesn't affect the usage items, but being a giftable item, the box is an important feature. Also, not sure why there are 2 different wire filter baskets. The description mentions "six Whiskey Stones", but these were not included in the kit I received and I don't see them in the pictures of the product by the seller. Final note is that the 6 wood chip flavors in the description differ from what was in the kit I received.I would have given this 5 stars, but lowered it 1 due to some discrepancies listed in the review.

I like it ,torch is stubborn time to time

high quality merchandise that adds a special ambiance to your drink presentation and it tastes really good

Great smoking kit. Come with lots of wood chips. You only need a small pinch per cocktail. The torch is high quality. The storage box is very nice and could look good on display.Overall great product.

This is a great set! Super good quality. Purchased as a gift for my husband who is a bourbon and whiskey lover. He absolutely loves it.

Good

I got this for my son at Christmas. He said it was his favorite gift! It’s made with durable wood, the lid fits perfectly, it makes amazing smoked drinks. It comes in a smaller wooden box for tight storage. It was very easy to use. I would buy this again. Great tasting old fashions.

It's just what I wanted. I've had a couple smoked old fashioneds and and enjoyed them thoroughly

Purchase this for a family member, they reported they enjoy the kid in the flavors added it to their sips of whiskey. Very nice kid and is being enjoyed. They said the torch is working really nice also

Purchased for the hubs as a holiday gift. Fits multiple glass sizes. Easy to use. Box to hold everything. Durable. Makes a great smokey cocktail.

I first bought one of the rechargeable smokers with no lighter. It works ok but sometimes has difficulty lighting hickory, oak, or harder woods. I bought this and its what I should have bought the first time. Very well put together kit, great mix of different woods (many don’t have hickory). Works well.
